Course on Guidance and Control of Marine Vehicles - Course plan and good slides in course on Guidance and Control
Marine Systems Simulator (MSS) - The Marine Systems Simulator (MSS) is a Matlab/Simulink library and simulator for marine systems. It includes models for ships, underwater vehicles, and floating structures. The library also contains guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) blocks for real-time simulation.
MSS was developed by Thor I. Fossen, Tristan Perez, Oyvind N. Smogeli, and A.J. Sorensen
Space Electronics Literature page - Richard Boynton (CEO) and Kurt Wiener (Chief Engineer) have written many papers which deal with the measurement of mass properties of bodies (Mass, Moment of Inertia, CG, Product of Inertia etc.). They make very precise measurement instruments as well. Such devices are used to measure mass properties for space vehicles such as rockets as well as airplanes.
IIHR at University of Iowa - This is the ship hydrodynamics website which deals with CFD software written by Hydrodynamics Research group there. The group validates their CFD software through experimental tests through state of the art PMM, Force/Moment, motion tracking equipent. Their CFD software is called CFDSHIP-IOWA.
Aerodynamic Applets at Virginia Tech - Nice site with lots of applets and calculators that help understand (compressible) fluid dynamics.
Virtual Machine Arsenal's links collection - A very good site with lots of links to other marine-related paper collections.
Links at Delft University - This site has very good literature and work related to offshore marine technology. Johan Journée has also written a very good book that covers hydromechanics and hydrostatics dealing with almost all types of conditions including boundary effects.
Ship Motions website - Another related link where Johan Journée's work is available in more detail.
CFD-Online Website - A very useful site with links to free and paid CFD software as well as books and other resources.
